Continuing practice focusing on business formation, finance and structuring complex litigation, probate and low- and upper worth estate planning, real estate development and syndication. Expertise in finance, business formation and transactional activity and litigation provide proven experience at predicting and avoiding potential problems and enable proactive client representation. Additional areas of expertise offered by the firm include criminal litigation, transaction services, and general and fraud litigation.

Practice began in criminal and civil litigation, including federal court appointments, the most publicly known of which was representation of Tom and Granby Hanley in a trial variously styled United States v. Ben Schmoutev. et al., which was related to allegations by the federal government that Schmoutey, the Hanleys and others had conspired to murder AI Bramlett in order to take over the culinary union for organized crime. The case ended in an acquittal before the Hon. Harry Claiborne. Other practice emphasis in the early 1980s was individual debtor bankruptcy and debtor reorganization, service as an appointed Bankruptcy Trustee for the Honorable Lloyd George involving complex cases where a lawyer was needed; appointment as counsel for Unsecured Creditors Committee in several large bankruptcy cases such as the Landmark Hotel. This phase of practice developed expertise in commercial law, contract law, real estate and investment law. Other phases of practice included real estate syndications and securities offerings, and securities enforcement defense. In the mid- to late 1980s, practice emphasis on employment law and employee rights law was also developed.
This led to numerous complex litigation cases against major corporations and the experience attendant thereto. In the same period practice expertise was acquired for to estate planning, asset protection, business formation and continuity and business funding. During its existence. the firm employed two to four secretaries and/or legal assistants. together with one to three attorneys. This gave experience in administration and logistics of profitable law practice.

This organization involved five partners, three associates. Heavy intake practice of all civil and criminal matters, essentially a heavy general practice which included bankruptcy, divorce, criminal defense from misdemeanor traffic to all major felony crimes; providing in-house service, such as real estate contracts, wills, probates, simple contracts for purchase in commercial setting.

Particularly emphasized criminal defense. Represented indigent criminal defendants on court appointments in both state and federal court. Balance of practice was general in nature, including civil practice and divorce.

In this context, handled numerous criminal cases, motions for suppression, appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court, preliminary hearings in Justice Court, and trials, consisting of approximately 1,200 files.
